Something Strange in Google SERP's

by Ryan on September 9, 2008

Doing a little research between the query: seattle real estate and Seattle Real Estate produces some different results.  The difference being the first word being capitalized.

I’m posting this now without much research or proof but will continue to look into this.

Ryan,

When I type in Seattle Real Estate I get one set of results and when I click submit again I get a different ordering for the same KW phrase. How are you going to account for this in your research?

John, that’s a good question. Since it’s been nearly 5 months since I made this observation, I’m going to chalk it up to a tweek that someone made and has now fixed.

A few of us here in the office were speculating that Google could be able to distinguish proper names. It might be worth watching in the future.
