Brand Management: What Is It? And Why An Auto Dealer Needs It.

Brand Management for a car dealership, where do I begin?  Your dealership’s brand name is one of your biggest assets. In the online world, if you’re not implementing an Online Brand Management Strategy for your dealership, you could be losing traffic to your site and in the end, losing sales. I’ve seen many cases where car dealer directories will rank well for a dealer’s name. When this happens, these directories draw traffic that would normally be landing on the actual dealer’s website. From there, the visitor may or may not find their way to your site. That’s not so good.

So what’s the point of this post? When you search for your dealership’s name, how many of the SERPs do you control? What I mean is “how many of those do you physically control or own”? How many sites are “car dealer directories” that could be selling their traffic to another dealership. Did one of your competitors set up a landing page that targets your name? They could be siphoning off traffic.

There are a number components you can add to your SEO strategy to ensure you’re not losing traffic to your competitors using your brand name.

Let alone car dealer, any brand needs a proper Brand management to succeed.
